Immediately after the official publication of the law, updated rules for the sale of used cars will come into force in Ukraine. The innovations will primarily affect dealerships, which will be allowed to officially process transactions for the purchase and sale of used cars.

As noted by AUTO-Consulting experts, the key change of law No. 3046 is that the tax will be levied not on the entire cost of the sold vehicle, but only on the difference between the purchase price and the sale price. According to analysts, this scheme will give impetus to the development of a civilized trade-in market.

Ordinary car owners will also feel clear advantages: they will gain confidence in the cleanliness of the car's history and its technical condition, and if hidden faults are detected, they will be able to file an official claim. From the moment the law comes into effect, standard attributes of civilized used car sales will appear on the market — warranty obligations, the ability to exchange an old car for a new one, and other services.
