This was reported by Arseniy Yatsenyuk, noting that the abolition of the 5% import duty became possible thanks to the entry into force of the free trade area agreement with the European Union, which takes effect on January 1 of next year.

"Currently, there is a five percent import duty, which will be abolished in January. As a result of the abolition of this duty, the cost of cars must decrease by those same five percent," the Prime Minister stated yesterday on the air of his program "Five Minutes with the Prime Minister."

He also added that the full functioning of the free trade area with European countries will have a positive impact on the cost of other categories of goods, as reported by the news agency RIA Novosti Ukraine.
