A bill on transferring local roads to the competence of local authorities has been submitted for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This was reported by Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pivovarsky.
As the minister clarified: "Currently, there is a discussion about transferring the powers of Ukravtodor to local bodies. Thus, local communities will be able to effectively carry out necessary road repairs without interference from central authorities."
