Testers from the Spanish site km77 stated that the Tesla Model Y is one of the best cars among those that have passed the moose test. They noted the good work of the stability control system, as well as decent steering and suspension settings.
The Tesla Model Y repeated the result of the platform-sharing Model 3 sedan, which also performed the obstacle avoidance maneuver at a speed of 83 km/h. Recall that an excellent rating is awarded for a score of 77 km/h and above.
For comparison: the electric Porsche Taycan sedan and the Ford Puma ST crossover passed the moose test at 81 km/h. And the tuned BMW M3 could not even show more than 76 km/h. So the moose test is quite difficult and not everyone can do it, and therefore the result of the Tesla Model Y deserves respect.
