We are talking about the Clarity and Legend sedans, as well as the Odyssey minivan. Of this trio, only the Clarity can be called an inconspicuous car, since it was born just six years ago. But the Legend and Odyssey are very famous cars, however, due to poor demand, they also decided to "put them under the knife."

The situation with the Clarity is quite interesting: the Japanese had high hopes for this car, and at the time of its release in 2015, it was produced in three versions at once – electric, hydrogen, and hybrid. However, things, as they say, did not go well: the electric version was taken off the assembly line last year, the hybrid is still holding on, but also on its last legs (due to strong competition), and the hydrogen sedan is selling in modest numbers – to date, the Japanese have sold fewer than 2,000 such cars.

Honda discontinues Legend sedan

As for the Honda Legend and Odyssey, they are being retired due to a global decline in demand for sedans and minivans in general (worldwide). However, the Odyssey will remain on the market for some time as a local model for the US.

All three models will be replaced by the currently popular electric vehicles and crossovers. Nevertheless, the enterprise where the above-mentioned cars are produced – the plant in the city of Sayama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan – was still decided not to be left. It will be closed by March 2022.
