At the initial stage, the Volkswagen Nivus will be available exclusively in the South American market, but already in 2021 this crossover is expected in Europe, where its assembly will be organized at a Spanish plant.
Technically, the Nivus is based on the simplified MQB-A0 platform, making it very similar in design to the seventh-generation Polo hatchback.
Under the hood of the Volkswagen Nivus is a turbocharged 1.0-liter engine producing 128 horsepower and capable of running on both gasoline and ethanol. This unit is paired exclusively with a six-speed automatic transmission.
