The premiere of the Mercedes-Benz EQC took place in Paris in the fall of 2018. The crossover is based on a powertrain consisting of two electric motors located on the front and rear axles. The total output of the units reaches 408 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5.1 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 180 km/h.
The motors are powered by a set of lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 80 kWh. This energy reserve is enough for 445–471 kilometers of travel in the NEDC driving cycle. A full charge from a Wallbox wall-mounted device will take about 11 hours, while using a fast charging station reduces the process to 40 minutes.
