The latest episode of The Ultimate Tire Slaying Tour featured five drift cars at once, with filming taking place at five different locations around the globe. Work on the episode was carried out in northern Sweden, Mexico, as well as in Detroit, Los Angeles, and the Texas stretch of US Highway 66.
The show's regular hero remained the all-wheel-drive Hoonicorn with 1,400 horsepower, joined by several newcomers, including a 1991 rally Ford Escort Cosworth. The final run at a Texas scrapyard showcased the Hoonitruck pickup with an engine producing 927 horsepower.
In addition to Ken Block himself, the filming involved famous stuntman Travis Pastrana and 16-year-old Norwegian racer Oliver Solberg. TV stars Rob Dyrdek and Aaron Kaufman were also invited to the project.
