Under the hood of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 640 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. With this setup, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and the top speed reaches 315 km/h.
However, the official record of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in this class of cars belongs to the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 super sedan — it completed the lap in 7 minutes and 21.23 seconds. But it is worth noting that that Jaguar was in the version with the Track Package, where the rear seat was removed and replaced with a lightweight roll cage.
