The French crossover became the winner of the annual Autobest competition, scoring 1423 points in the jury vote. The closest competitors were representatives of Germany: Opel Grandland X with a result of 1302 points and Volkswagen T-Roc, which received 1205 points.
The Autobest competition is held annually and determines the best car based on the vote of a professional jury, which includes automotive journalists from more than 30 European countries.
When evaluating nominees, experts take into account a number of important criteria, including the cost of the car, level of comfort, equipment with modern technologies, appearance, and ease of daily use. The last point implies the quality of service maintenance, availability of spare parts, and the scale of the dealer network.
The president of the Autobest jury, Ilya Seliktar, emphasized that the victory of a compact crossover in the competition is not the first in recent years. According to him, this clearly demonstrates a shift in the preferences of motorists, which is currently observed and will continue to intensify in the future.
A year earlier, the laurels of the winner went to the Spanish model Seat Ateca.
