The record was set during runs on a regular track in the US state of Nevada. The achievement was formalized according to all rules, which take into account only the average result after two attempts.

In the first run, a speed of 437 km/h was achieved, and in the second – 457 km/h. As a result, the new official record is a top speed of 447 km/h, which is 12 km/h more than the "maximum" of the previous champion Hennessey Venom GT (435.31 km/h).

Koenigsegg Agera RS is powered by a five-liter turbocharged V8 engine producing 1360 hp and 1371 Nm.

Last month, the hypercar also managed to become the best in the exercise of accelerating to 400 km/h and then coming to a complete stop.
