The sports brand Adidas accused Tesla of plagiarism because of the three-stripe logo of the new Model 3 electric car.
The German company has prepared an official protest, as the three horizontal stripes on the Tesla logo are too similar to the Adidas emblem, which has been in use since 1952.
Tesla decided not to bring the issue to court and promptly replaced the stripes with the usual number "3".
Recall that the production version of the "budget" electric car Model 3 will go on sale no earlier than 2018.
