Ten models made it to the shortlist: the Audi A5/S5 coupe, Fiat 124 Spyder roadster, new generation Honda Civic, as well as the Audi Q2, Audi Q5, Jaguar F-Pace, Mazda CX-9, Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota C-HR and Volkswagen Tiguan crossovers.

Seventy-five automotive journalists from 24 countries, who make up the jury, are competing for the title of Car of the Year.

On March 7, at the Geneva Motor Show, the three finalists will be announced, and the winner's name will be revealed in April at the New York auto show.
