In a full-overlap frontal impact, the protection of rear-seat passengers proved weak — they sustained "serious injuries." During the partial-overlap test, the airbags also did not deploy fully.


The side impact also did not please with results: the curtain airbags did not protect the child's head from hitting the glass, while adult passengers were somewhat better protected.

The Mustang failed to earn additional points for electronic assistants — such systems were absent in the test configuration. However, the manufacturer stated that they will appear in new versions of the model.
