A year ago, the 510-hp "Giulia" set a record at the "Nürburgring Nordschleife," completing a lap in 7 minutes 39 seconds. However, soon a new Porsche Panamera Turbo with 550 hp appeared (which, in fact, is hard to call a sedan), and it beat the "Alfa" by a second.
The Italians, however, were not going to put up with this state of affairs and decided to once again win the title of the fastest sedan. This time, a Giulia equipped with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission instead of the previous 6-speed manual took to the track. As a result, test driver Fabio France managed to complete a lap in 7 minutes and 32 seconds!
It is worth recalling that under the hood of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde is a six-cylinder bi-turbo engine with a displacement of 2.9 liters, producing 510 hp and 600 Nm of torque. This sports sedan can accelerate to 307 km/h and reaches 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
