A column of retro cars accompanied by patrol cars will follow from the meeting point to the last operating trolleybus in Kyiv, the Škoda-14tr, which will take participants to Victory Square. Then the route will run along Dmytrovska Street, where the cars will follow a restored tram, and then via Chornovola Avenue return to the starting point — 52/2 Peremohy Avenue.
Such a procession is organized for the first time, initiated by the organizing committee of the international festival Old Car Land. It will feature cars produced before 1980, all in factory condition. The list includes Soviet "Zaporozhets", "Zhiguli", "Moskvich", "Volga", "Pobeda", as well as cars from Germany, the Czech Republic, France, and other countries. Among the rarities, a rare 1975 Škoda-100 will appear for the first time. Age has not prevented the car from preserving its original condition and full functionality.
To make the column diverse, organizers allow no more than two identical models. In addition to passenger cars, old trucks and buses will drive through the city — LAZ, ZIS, LiAZ, Ikarus, some of which exist in single copies. Among two-wheeled vehicles, motorcycles Java, IZH, Ural, Minsk, Harley-Davidson, as well as mopeds and scooters are announced.
The gathering of retro vehicle owners will begin at 11:00 at 52/2 Peremohy Avenue, where registration and column formation will take place. The start of the movement is at 12:00, and after an hour and a half, participants will return to the same site.
