In September 2026, the Ukrainian car fleet was joined by almost 4,600 electric vehicles. Compared to September 2025, demand for cars with battery-powered powertrains halved. This is reported by Ukravtoprom.
The bulk of registrations came from passenger electric vehicles - 4,349 units. Of these, 448 were new cars, which is 80% less than last year. Another 3,901 vehicles were used - their number decreased by 42%.
Also in September, 222 commercial electric vehicles were registered, of which only 10 were new. A year earlier, out of 223 such vehicles, 46 were new.

Thus, among new BEVs, the BYD Sea Lion 06 EV received the most registrations in September. In the segment of imported used electric vehicles, the Tesla Model Y took first place.
