1. Volkswagen Golf VII

Volkswagen Golf VII 2014-2018 costs $11,000-14,500. The 1.4 TSI engine of the EA211 series develops 122, 125, or 150 hp and has a timing belt drive. When buying, you should check the oil change history, and among transmissions consider manual or DSG-6.

2. Renault Megane III and IV with 1.5 dCi

Renault Megane 2012-2018 is sold for $9,000-13,500. The 1.5 dCi turbodiesel is available in 90 and 110 hp versions. Its fuel consumption in the city is estimated at 4.5-5.2 liters per 100 km. The condition of the fuel system and connecting rod bearings is important.

3. Ford Focus III facelift with 1.5 EcoBoost

Ford Focus 2015-2018 costs $10,500-14,000. The 1.5 EcoBoost turbo engine with 150 hp has a cast iron block and aluminum head. For operation, the recommended octane number of fuel and a proper cooling system are important.

4. Hyundai Tucson
