In the first half of 2026, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 22.3 thousand used passenger cars from the USA. Demand for them increased by 1% compared to January-June 2025, and the average age of imported cars was 6.5 years. This is reported by Ukrautoprom.

Most popular used cars from the USA in the first half of the year

  1. Ford Escape. The American crossover topped the ranking with 2,446 registered cars. This model accounted for almost 11% of all used passenger cars imported from the USA over six months.
  2. BMW X3. The premium crossover of the German brand took second place. In January-June, Ukrainians purchased 1,644 used BMW X3 of American production.
  3. Nissan Rogue. The American analogue of the European Nissan X-Trail sold 1,575 units in Ukraine. This result was enough for the model to take third place.
  4. Tesla Model Y. The only electric car in the top five was the Tesla crossover. In the first half of the year, Ukrainians registered 1,446 used Model Y from the USA.
  5. BMW X5. The large premium crossover closed the ranking with 1,442 cars. It was separated from the Tesla Model Y by only four registrations.

Structure of American car imports in 2026

Petrol cars accounted for 57% of used car supplies from the USA. Electric cars took second place with a share of 22%.

The distribution by type of power unit was as follows:
  • petrol cars - 57%;
  • electric cars - 22%;
  • hybrids - 13%;
  • diesel models - 5%;
  • cars with LPG - 3%.
In total, the five most popular models provided 8,553 registrations, or more than 38% of American imports of used passenger cars in the first half of the year.
