Gasoline still holds the lead among new passenger cars, accounting for 35.1% of all sales. However, compared to last year, when this figure reached 37.6%, gasoline engines have slightly lost ground.
Meanwhile, electric cars became the main heroes of the month. Their market share jumped by almost ten percentage points – from 15.3% in July 2024 to 24.7% this year. Now, every fourth new car in Ukraine is an electric vehicle.
Hybrid models confidently hold their positions with a result of 21.2% of sales. Diesel cars, on the contrary, are increasingly less interesting to drivers: their share dropped to 18.7%, while last year it was 25.5%.
Cars with LPG equipment have practically disappeared from the radar: they account for less than 1% of sales, and this figure remains stable.
As for the leaders in each category, the situation looks like this:
-
In the gasoline segment, Hyundai Tucson holds the lead;
-
Among electric cars, the undisputed leader is BYD Song Plus;
-
In the hybrid class, the usual Toyota RAV4 reigns;
-
In the diesel segment, Renault Duster is again at the top;
-
And among cars with LPG, Hyundai Tucson has again distinguished itself.
