In October, demand for electric vehicles fell by 5% compared to the same period last year. However, the share of new cars among all BEV registrations reached 23%, while last year this figure was 19%.

Passenger cars made up the bulk of electric cars registered during the month — 4,124 units (of which 969 were new and 3,155 were used). Among the 153 commercial electric vehicles, only 17 were new.

The top five among new electric vehicles of the month looks like this:

  • HONDA M-NV — 188 units;
  • VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 — 100 units;
  • ZEEKR 001 — 94 units;
  • BYD Song Plus — 74 units;
  • AUDI Q4 e-tron — 41 units.

The most popular used electric vehicles that received their first registration in Ukraine:

  1. NISSAN Leaf — 447 units;
  2. TESLA Model Y — 299 units;
  3. TESLA Model 3 — 281 units;
  4. HYUNDAI Kona Electric — 195 units;
  5. VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf — 182 units.

In total, since the beginning of the year, more than 44.2 thousand units of battery-powered vehicles have undergone their first registration in Ukraine. Of these, 20% were new cars, and 80% were used ones.
