AUTO-Consulting analysts calculated that last month electric cars took 18% of the domestic market for new vehicles. For comparison: in January 2022, fewer than three hundred new electric cars were sold in Ukraine, and their market share then did not exceed 5%. Thus, over twelve months, sales volume more than doubled, and the market share increased 3.5 times.
In January, for the first time in history, an electric car topped the overall sales ranking among all models available on the Ukrainian market. This time, the Volkswagen ID.4 took first place, managing to outpace traditional favorites - the Renault Duster and Toyota RAV4. Among electric models, the Honda M-NV (also known as the DongFeng M-NV/X-NV) took second place, and the Tesla Model Y took third.
It is worth noting that among electric cars sold in January, crossovers and SUVs accounted for 91.4% - significantly higher than the overall market, where their share remains at about 80%.
