The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) reports an increase in the number of newly registered passenger cars in EU countries in September. The figure rose by 9.6% and reached 787,870 vehicles.

Among the key EU markets, Germany and Spain showed the best dynamics, with growth of 14.1% and 12.7%, respectively. At the same time, France and Italy showed more moderate progress — 5.5% and 5.4%.

The VW Group maintains its leadership in the European market. In the first nine months of the year, the company sold 2,030,321 vehicles, which is 14.7% less than last year's result. The STELLANTIS alliance remains second in sales volume with 1,559,467 vehicles and a decline of 16.3% compared to last year. The top three is closed by the Hyundai Group with 821,531 vehicles sold, which is 6.6% less than a year earlier.
