AUTO-Consulting found out which new car models with a diesel engine have the most affordable price in Ukraine.
Traditionally, French and Italian automakers have always been famous for their diesels. Indeed, their models are the most numerous among the most affordable ones. But they are not the only ones offered in our country. There are even Germans who were not affected by "dieselgate." And most importantly, with diesels, although these cars are slightly more expensive than similar petrol models, Ukraine offers not only sedans and hatchbacks, but also practical vans and station wagons, and even SUVs. Those who love diesels understand that by paying a little more at the start, they will then save on fuel consumption. True, it should be noted that among affordable diesel cars there are no models with automatic transmission. Only - "manual."
It is logical to start with the French brands that are most widely represented in the diesel segment.
Renault Sandero - a hatchback, which AUTO-Consulting has already mentioned in a review of the most affordable models in Ukraine, does not shock with its price even with a diesel engine. It starts from UAH 340,500 under the "Renault Bonus" program for a car with a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 90 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Renault Logan - this is, in fact, the Sandero in a sedan body. Therefore, with the same 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 90 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission, it is today only UAH 500 more expensive. Prices start from UAH 341,000 under the "Renault Bonus" program.
Renault Sandero Stepway - a front-wheel-drive youth crossover based on the Sandero hatchback. With the same 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 90 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. Prices start from UAH 377,700 under the "Renault Bonus" program.
Among the French, an affordable Italian model with a diesel engine has also "slipped in." This is the 5-seat passenger station wagon Fiat Qubo. With a 1.3-liter MultiJet producing 75 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission, prices for it start from UAH 417,900.
Renault Express - a practical multifunctional passenger van that replaced the popular Renault Dokker. Under the "Renault Bonus" program, the price for a car with a 1.5-liter engine producing 95 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission starts from UAH 438,000.
Renault Lodgy - a 7-seat van or station wagon. One of the few in its class with such a number of passengers. Under the "Renault Bonus" program, the price for a car with a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 90 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission is from UAH 443,300.
Citroen C-Elysee - from UAH 461,300 with a 1.6-liter diesel engine producing 92 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Renault Duster - the only SUV in this price category, although in this case, not with all-wheel drive, but only with front-wheel drive. Prices start from UAH 475,200 under the "Renault Bonus" program for an SUV with a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 110 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission.
Peugeot 301 - from UAH 529,000 with a 1.6-liter diesel engine producing 92 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Opel Combo Life - a multifunctional 5-seat van. Price - from UAH 540,900 for a car with a 1.6-liter engine producing 92 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission.
Fiat Doblo - a 7-seat passenger minivan. Price - from UAH 584,900 for a 2019 car with a 1.6-liter MultiJet producing 105 hp and a 6-speed manual transmission.
