As part of the cooperation agreement, Suzuki will share its developments in compact engines and small cars with Toyota. In particular, this concerns the platforms used for the Ciaz and Ertiga models (pictured), which are currently assembled in India. Production of the new cars will be organized at Toyota's Polish plant.
In exchange, Suzuki will gain access to engineering solutions in the field of hybrid and fully electric powertrains used in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Through this partnership, Suzuki expects to strengthen its position in the European market by introducing under its own brand two new hybrid models and an electric car based on Toyota's RAV4 and Corolla.
