Hyundai plans to keep only the sedan body modification of the Accent model in its lineup, abandoning the five-door version.
The refusal of the five-door version is associated with the risk of rivalry within the model range: the Accent hatchback and the compact crossover Kona, presented at the beginning of summer, could directly compete with each other.
However, it is possible that in some markets the five-door Accent will still remain on sale - as the cheapest model in the Hyundai lineup, not overlapping in price with the Kona.
