The Renault concern, which ranks third among European automakers, sold 2,801,592 vehicles on the global market in 2015. This figure was a record for the company: growth amounted to 3.3% compared to 2014, while the overall market grew by only 1.6%. Thus, sales of the French brand have been increasing for the third consecutive year. The Dacia brand also demonstrated the best result in its history — 550,920 cars sold, which is 7.7% higher than last year's figures. Renault's share, recognized as the most dynamically developing brand in Europe, reached 10.1% with market growth of 9.4%. In the light commercial vehicle segment, Renault has maintained leadership in the European market for the eighteenth consecutive year.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. also reported record sales: 5,421,804 cars and trucks were sold worldwide (+2.1%). In the two key markets for the Japanese manufacturer — the USA and China — sales volumes reached at least 1.25 million vehicles.
