Lada Vesta is a small class car developed by AvtoVAZ independently. Production of the model began in September 2015. The first pre-production Vesta body was assembled on November 5, 2014 in Izhevsk.
The Lada Vesta model was created to replace the Priora. According to the manufacturer, about 6 billion rubles were spent on the project development. Vesta is larger than Priora. The sedan version was the first to go into production, followed by the hatchback. The car is offered in four trim levels.
When creating the Lada Vesta, they used their own Lada B platform, which evolved from the unrealized Lada C platform. The car has an original suspension with L-shaped arms and new design steering knuckles. The steering system was borrowed from the Renault Megane and is adjustable for reach and rake. In addition to the steering column, other solutions from the Renault-Nissan consortium were also used.
Sales of the Lada Vesta began in mid-2015.
