In 1984, production began of the second station wagon at VAZ — the 2104 model, which replaced the 2102. The new model was based on the 2105 sedan, but due to its increased size, the body had to be reinforced. Over the entire production history, more than a dozen versions of this station wagon were created, including export models. The car was equipped with gasoline engines ranging from 1.2 to 1.8 liters, as well as diesel engines (1.5 and 1.77 liters). Transmissions were manual, four- or five-speed. Drive — rear.
