The off-road crossover Escape was known in Europe as the Maverick. The first generation of this model was produced from 2000. For the second generation, Escape offered three powertrains: 2.5-liter (171 hp) and 3.0-liter (240 hp) gasoline engines, as well as a hybrid setup for select markets.
