TOP-5 most reliable used crossovers on the Ukrainian market

For several years now, crossovers have been the most popular class of passenger cars in many countries around the world. And recently, such cars have become in good demand in Ukraine, especially on the used car market.

AutoPortal decided to compile a list of the most reliable crossovers that can be bought on the Ukrainian secondary market. When selecting models, we relied on car reliability ratings from the German Technical Inspection Association (TUV), the American agency Consumer Reports, the British analytical website WhatCar, and the American marketing agency J.D. Power. At the same time, relatively fresh models were taken into account – cars of old generations were deliberately excluded from the list, since they often already have high mileage and "tired" bodies.

Mazda CX-5 (2012-2015, 2015-present)

Mazda CX-5 is a beautiful and elegant crossover. And also quite reliable. Experts note a trouble-free chassis, one of the best handling in its class, and a well-assembled interior. It also has good aerodynamics. In terms of the powertrain, the best tandem is considered to be the 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and the 6-speed automatic transmission.

Nissan Qashqai (2006-2013, 2014 – present)

Nissan Qashqai is one of the most reliable crossovers, loved not only in Ukraine but also, by the way, in America and Europe. According to statistics, owners most value excellent handling and reliability of the all-wheel drive in this car. It also has good visibility, comfortable seats, and a bunch of other pleasant little things. But most importantly, this car has only a slight tendency to break down.

Audi Q5 (2008-2017)

Audi Q5 is a car that embodies the concept of "German quality." Breakdowns are alien to it; this premium crossover rarely fails. At the same time, as experts note, over the years it becomes more and more reliable.

Toyota RAV4 (2006-2012, 2013-2019)

Like many other Toyota models, the RAV4 is a benchmark car in terms of quality. The crossover was born back in the 90s, and since then it has established itself as an ultra-reliable car – many examples cover 500,000 km without serious repairs. Especially in this regard, experts highlight the unkillable naturally aspirated petrol engines, durable automatic transmissions, and wear-resistant suspension. According to statistics, only 1 out of 10 RAV4 owners visits a service center, and even then only for minor issues.

Honda CR-V (2006-2011, 2012-2018)

Honda CR-V has repeatedly won prizes in various reliability competitions over its 25-year history. Many automotive experts recommend it as a first car or, at least, a first crossover. The CR-V is a practical and stylish car that causes virtually no complaints.
