Technical specifications

The miniature dash cam Gazer F122 is based on a high-performance Ambarella A7 processor and is capable of recording the road situation in impressive Super HD resolution (2304x1296).

The device's camera features glass optics based on a six-layer coated lens with an infrared filter and a large F2.0 aperture, providing a 160-degree viewing angle and ensuring excellent detail at any time of day. The DEWARP distortion compensation function, in turn, is responsible for leveling distortions in the image and prevents the "fisheye" effect in video recordings.

The Gazer F122 boasts a highly sensitive sensor with HDR (High Dynamic Range) and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technologies, which help avoid "blind" spots during sudden changes in lighting, for example, when entering a tunnel or driving against the sun, and maintain the clarity of all "overexposed" road objects.

Also included in this model's equipment is a G-sensor, which, in the event of sudden braking or impact, will "give a command" to save the recording of the emergency situation in a separate folder protected from cyclic overwriting.

In addition, the device is supplemented with a light sensor to remind the driver about unswitched low-beam headlights at dusk if necessary, and the "Anti-sleep" function, which attracts the driver's attention with periodic signals.

Also quite useful are the lane departure warning system LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System) and the distance control system to the vehicle ahead FCWS (Forward Collision Warning System). When one of the sensors is triggered, a special signal will be given, duplicated with graphics on the screen.

The Gazer F122 dash cam can be supplemented with a GPS module with the useful Speedcam function, which allows creating a database of important points on the road. For example, you can mark such objects as stationary radars, video cameras, locations of "speed bumps" or any dangerous road sections. When approaching one of these places, the device will give a voice prompt and duplicate information about the object on the screen.

Ergonomics

The Gazer F122 is distinguished by its very compact dimensions – 69x43x24 mm. The device, almost the size of a matchbox, easily fits in any pocket, which is very convenient if you have to constantly take the recorder with you.

The model's package includes two small mounts (on a suction cup and on double-sided 3M tape), a USB cable with a power adapter for the cigarette lighter, and a 16 GB memory card.

The miniature body is equipped with a 1.5-inch display, four convenient buttons, a memory card slot (Micro SDXC, up to 128 GB), as well as miniUSB and miniHDMI connectors.

There were no complaints about the build quality of the device. The recorder is easily fixed on the mount and just as easily removed.

Video recording

In addition to excellent ergonomics, the Gazer F122 boasts excellent video quality. The camera of the mini-recorder makes not just videos, but real HD movies, regardless of the time of day.
