Launch could happen within the next two years, starting with semi-knocked-down assembly and gradually transitioning to full-scale vehicle production.
According to Arseniy Abduraimov, chairman of the Electric Vehicle Market Participants Association EV-UA, the talk is about creating a national Ukrainian electric vehicle already in 2016-2017.

The production line is planned to be installed at the facilities of one of the domestic automobile plants, which are currently virtually idle. Investments in installing one such line, according to preliminary estimates, will amount to about $1.5-2 million. However, the main barrier for the company, as Abduraimov claims, is the market's unpreparedness for the transition to electric traction and the lack of preferences from the state. "As soon as they appear in one form or another, there will be an explosion of demand. The runners are already at the start and are waiting for the government to make the first shot," added the representative of BioAuto.
