Renault Lodgy

Renault Lodgy is a compact van sold as Dacia in Europe and under the Renault brand in Ukraine. The model made its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012. The name Lodgy comes from the English word "Lodge," indicating the car's spacious interior.

The car is built on an extended version of the B0 platform. This platform is used for many budget models from Renault, Dacia, Lada, and Nissan. Its development began in 1998, and the first car based on the B0 platform — the Renault Logan — appeared in 2004. It is now the main platform for B-class cars of the Renault-Nissan alliance. Its main advantage is the ability to produce different models on the same base, including light commercial vehicles and SUVs.

The Renault Lodgy is equipped with petrol and diesel engines well known from other Renault models. Depending on the engine, the car is fitted with a 5- or 6-speed manual transmission. Drive is only front-wheel. The interior can be five- or seven-seat. With the second and third row seats folded, the luggage compartment volume reaches 2617 liters. The third row seats can be folded or completely removed.

As an option for all trim levels, the ESP stabilization system and MEDIA NAV multimedia system are available. Even the base version includes two airbags and ABS. The front suspension is MacPherson type, the rear is multi-link (as on the Renault Kangoo). Production of the model is established at the Renault plant in Tangier, Morocco.

In Ukraine, the Renault Lodgy has been sold since September 2013. Two engines are offered: a petrol 1.6 L (80 hp) and a diesel 1.5 L (85 hp). The transmission is only a five-speed manual. All cars for the Ukrainian market undergo adaptation to local roads and have increased ground clearance of 167 mm.
