Renault Kadjar: prices and specifications

2 generations Country of origin: France

Renault Kadjar is the French version of a crossover that is both a related model and a rival to the Nissan Qashqai.

The model's name is composed of the word "quad," indicating all-wheel drive, and a part derived from the French words "agile" and "jaillir," meaning "agility" and "sudden appearance."

The Renault Kadjar is based on the modular platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance, familiar from the new generations of the Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail.

The exterior design of the model resembles the 2015 Espace minivan, created by Renault's chief designer Laurens van den Acker.

The engine lineup includes the same units as the Nissan Qashqai: 3- and 4-cylinder engines with displacements from 1.2 to 1.6 liters, developing up to 163 hp. Transmissions are automatic (CVT) or manual. Drive can be either all-wheel or front-wheel.
