Peugeot Expert: prices and specifications

1 generations Country of origin: France

Peugeot Expert is a light commercial minivan that became the first model of the French brand created in cooperation with Citroen and Fiat. The car's name translates from French as "expert".

First generation (1995)

An agreement on the joint development of a light commercial minivan between Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat was reached in 1993. The partners planned to jointly create a platform, engines and transmissions, but produce the car under three brands, each of which would have its own exterior design. In 1994, the first batch of prototypes was assembled and tested in Italy.

The official presentation of the Peugeot Expert took place in 1995. The model was produced not only in France but also in Indonesia. The car was available in three body versions: minivan, minibus and cargo van. A total of fifteen different trim levels were offered. In 2004, the model underwent a facelift, receiving new engines, transmissions, as well as an updated design inside and out.

Second generation (2007)

The second generation Peugeot Expert was introduced in 2007. The car received a new exterior and interior. The model was now built on two wheelbases (standard and long) and offered with two roof options (high and low). The cargo version retained the name Expert, while the passenger version received the Tepee suffix — named after the wigwams of North American Indians. In 2010, both modifications underwent a facelift.

In Ukraine, sales of the updated Peugeot Expert Tepee began in 2011. The car is available in eight- and nine-seat configurations. The model is equipped exclusively with diesel engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters with the proprietary HDi direct injection system. The 1.6-liter engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission, while the 2.0-liter engine is paired with a six-speed manual. Drive — front.
