Peugeot Boxer is a minibus based on the developments of the Fiat Centro Stile design bureau. Serial production of the model began in 1994 at the joint venture of Fiat Group and PSA Peugeot Citroën.
First generation (1994)
The first generation Peugeot Boxer debuted in 1994. Like other models of joint development, almost identical vans Fiat Ducato and Citroën Jumper appeared simultaneously. The choice of powertrains was also determined by cooperation: engines were borrowed from Iveco Daily. The lineup included three diesel engines with a displacement of 1.9, 2.5 and 2.8 liters, as well as a 2.0-liter gasoline engine. All-wheel drive versions of the vehicle existed.
In 2002, the model underwent a minor facelift. Changes affected the shape of the headlights, interior, and the engine range, which was supplemented with a 2.0-liter diesel engine.
Second generation (2006)
The second generation Peugeot Boxer was introduced in 2006. Like its predecessor, the van was produced under three brands — Peugeot, Citroën and Fiat. Assembly was organized at factories in France, Italy and Russia. The vehicle is equipped with diesel engines: 2.2 liters from PSA or 3.0 liters from Iveco.
On the Ukrainian market, second-generation Peugeot Boxer vans have been sold since 2006.
