Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class is a sports model that the German manufacturer has been producing since 1996. The car is available in two body types: coupe and convertible. The name "SLK" comes from the German words Sportlich, Leicht und Kurz, which translates to "sporty, light, and short." In 2011, the third-generation roadster premiered, built on the new R172 platform.
The engine lineup for this generation includes three gasoline engines (1.8, 3.5, and 5.5 liters) and one diesel engine (2.1 liters). Transmission options are a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic. Drive is rear-wheel.
