Mercedes-Benz GL-Class: prices and specifications

6 generations Country of origin: Germany

Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is a full-size crossover first presented to the public in 2006 at the Detroit Auto Show. The first generation of the model was produced for six years, and in 2012 the company introduced the second generation of the GL-Class.

The car received a swift sporty exterior design, increased dimensions compared to the first generation, and lower weight — thanks to the use of light metals in the construction of the body, chassis, and engines.

The model is equipped with two gasoline engines (4.7 and 5.4 liters) and one diesel engine (3.0 liters). The use of innovative BlueEFFICIENCY technology made the engines more powerful, yet more economical and environmentally friendly than previous units. The engines are paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission 7G-Tronic Plus.

The car has all-wheel drive.
