The Japanese minivan Honda FR-V, designed for six seats, had an unusual 3+3 cabin layout for the brand: three seats in the front and three in the rear. The manufacturer positioned the model as a car for a happy family. It debuted in 2004, and serial production started the same year. Production of the model ended in 2009.
For the Honda FR-V, three gasoline engines (1.7, 1.8, and 2.0 liters) and one diesel engine (2.0 liters) were offered. Throughout its production, the model underwent only one facelift — in 2007. At that time, the 1.7 and 2.0-liter engines were removed from the lineup, and a 1.8-liter engine from the Honda Civic was installed instead. The car has front-wheel drive.
