ASR (TRC (Traction Control), anti-slip regulation system, TCS) (Traction control system)

ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) is an active safety system that prevents the drive wheels from slipping. It operates in conjunction with ABS and EBD, and is also known by the abbreviation TRC. Its main task is to eliminate wheel slip at any position of the accelerator pedal and on any type of surface. When the ABS sensors detect the onset of wheel slip, the system reduces engine power and, if necessary, brakes individual wheels to make acceleration as efficient as possible.
