Equipment

The Gazer F720 dash cam hides in its compact body (87x35x43.5 mm) a highly sensitive Sony Exmor sensor and excellent optics with a six-layer coated lens, which provide high-quality shooting in any conditions with a maximum resolution of Full HD (1920x1080). The aperture of 1.8, in turn, promises a wide coverage in the frame with a 140-degree viewing angle.

The device is also equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, which eliminates "blind" overexposed segments in video during sudden changes in lighting (driving against bright sun, entering a tunnel, etc.).

As befits a flagship model, the F720 has a G-sensor that "monitors" emergency situations (hard braking, sharp turns, impacts) to save the video clip to a separate folder at a critical moment.

In addition, the G-sensor is used when switching to parking mode if the sensor does not detect any vibrations for ten minutes. When the parking function is activated, recording is done at a reduced frame rate (Timelapse function) to save space on the memory card.

The main technical advantage of this dash cam is the built-in Wi-Fi module, which allows you to control all functions of the device directly from your smartphone.

Ergonomics

The miniature dimensions make it possible to place the device on the windshield so that it is almost invisible from the outside and does not attract the attention of "those eager for other people's property" characters. The kit even includes special devices for hidden routing of the power cable along the interior trim.

With the inconspicuous placement of the Gazer F720 dash cam, there is no need to constantly take the device with you. Moreover, the type of mounting on double-sided tape implies a stationary installation and the ability to adjust up/down.

The body has no screen or any buttons, and this is not a drawback at all, since all control is assigned to the smartphone. The main thing is not to forget to install the proprietary Gazer Viewer app.

Gazer Viewer provides remote access to all device settings, and also offers a wide "functionality" for processing captured photos and videos, so that you can then share the finished material on social networks. In the app, for example, you can find different filters for photos, add suitable music to a video, and trim the clip from 2-3 minutes to, say, 10-15 seconds.

But one button is still provided for the device - this is a wireless radio button that can be mounted in any convenient place in the cabin. When the button is pressed, the recorder instantly takes a photo and saves a 10-second video clip, recording five seconds before and after the signal from the remote control.
