OpenDataBot/OpenDataUA is an open and free source implemented as a chat bot in Telegram.

In particular, it provides the following data:

  • registration and car data
  • whether the car is under arrest or pledged
  • transport licenses
  • previous car registrations (if any)
  • other cars of the owner

Overall, using this chat bot is not difficult – the interface is intuitive. All you need to do is answer the robot's questions, and at the end enter the required license plate number of the car.

Then the bot provides information in this form:

AvtoNomera

You can also check a car by license plate using the AvtoNomera app – it is available for both Android and iOS devices. After installing the program, you need to go to the "search by license plate" section, and then enter the characters of the license plate itself. Then the program will automatically provide essentially the same information as OpenDataBot, but in a slightly expanded form.

In particular, the app indicates:

  • the specific place of car registration (for example, Kyiv, Solomenskyi district).
  • the subject of ownership (individual or legal entity)
  • where the last re-registration of the car took place (for example, TSC 8045)
  • whether the car is stolen or not
  • the car's VIN code

Additionally, the app provides information about the first and subsequent registrations, arrest data, and even a photo of the car. The latter is especially relevant for those looking for a "wreck" from the USA. However, this function is paid – 50 UAH.

CarVertical

And the last service that can be recommended for use is CarVertical. This is an international platform that is also represented in Ukraine. It checks cars both against domestic registries and foreign databases. Using the service is simple – you need to go to the official website and enter the car's license plate or its VIN.
