Toyota Camry 1999 from Emirates, tell me if it's worth buying or not???

September 30, 2008 · A discussion from the forum archive

Guys, tell me, is it even worth considering this car for purchase? Your opinion is very important.
What exactly is confusing? The fact that the car is from the Asian market? You can replace the battery with a full-size one, possibly replace the coolant, and check the rubber bushings in the suspension.
For winter, you will also need to add heating for the mirrors and seats.
To what has been said above, it can be added that the engine oil should also be changed.
I've been driving a 2001 Toyota Camry with a 3-liter engine for about three years now. It's assembled in Detroit (California), for the Arab market. The car is reliable and easy to maintain, the only nuance is its sensitivity to fuel quality due to California's environmental standards. This doesn't affect performance, possibly thanks to the automatic transmission. Occasionally, the 'Check Engine' light comes on, which goes off by removing the fuse, and the problem is fully solved by switching to gas. With proper LPG tuning, there's no loss of power or excessive fuel consumption. Overall, I really like the car. The 'white' assembly is noticeably better quality than the current Russian-assembled Camrys.

I completely agree.
Camry, even those not assembled in Russia, cannot boast of outstanding quality.
It can be added that this car will not last long in our climatic conditions.
I can add that if you think so, then you clearly haven't dealt with Arabic Toyota cars.
