Renault Arkana will be the first model of the French brand created for the Russian market completely "from scratch." The crossover's name is derived from the word Arcanum, which translates from Latin as "mystery." The new model was developed by specialists from several design studios of the automaker, and its final concept was approved at Renault's headquarters in France.

Distinctive features of the model include short overhangs, wide wheel arches, large wheels, protective elements on the lower part of the body, and a sloping roofline, as well as the shape of the optics with C-shaped daytime running lights in the style of the fourth-generation Renault Megane. The company notes that Arkana will be the first coupe-crossover in the mass segment.
The Arkana will be based on a next-generation architecture that uses over 55% new units and components. Thus, the coupe-crossover will receive the "longest" wheelbase in its class and a completely new steering system.

In addition, the engine lineup will include a new motor, details of which are still kept secret. The car will be available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. More detailed technical information will be released closer to the start of production of the model.
Serial production of the coupe-crossover will be established at the Renault plant in Moscow, on the assembly line of which 46 new robots have already been installed, and the painting line has also been modernized.
Renault Arkana is positioned by the French company as a global model; after production starts in Russia, the model will appear in China, South America, and Eastern Europe, where it will be adapted to the specifics of each particular market.
