Mazda RX 8: prices and specifications

1 generations Country of origin: Japan

In 2003, the Mazda RX 8 replaced the RX 7, which had become outdated both morally and technically. The prototype called RX-Evolve was first shown in 2000 at the Detroit Auto Show. A year later, the concept received a new Renesis rotary engine — compact but with high power and torque. In 2010, the model underwent a facelift: the front and rear bumpers were changed, LED headlights and 90-millimeter exhaust pipes were added. The four-speed automatic transmission was replaced by a six-speed Activematic gearbox. Engineers also retuned the rear suspension and reinforced the body. The car has rear-wheel drive.
