Euro-4 (Euro-5)
Euro-4 is an environmental standard in force in Europe that sets limit values for emissions of harmful components (such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons) in the exhaust of new cars during the first 80 thousand kilometers of mileage. According to this regulation, the level of carbon monoxide (CO) must not exceed 1.5 grams per kilowatt-hour.
This standard came into effect in 2005, and from 2009 it will be replaced by the stricter Euro-5.
