Mexico became the country where this car was assembled. In 2011, Chrysler decided to discontinue the Journey crossover. It was replaced in Europe by the Fiat Freemont. Essentially, it was the same Journey but with a redesigned exterior and Fiat badges instead of Dodge emblems on the grille and rear. Under the hood, two variants of two-liter turbo diesels were installed. They were paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission of the same type. Drive could be either front-wheel or all-wheel.
