The Fiat Croma model debuted in 1985 and was originally a liftback, production of which ended in 1996. Nine years later, the car returned to the market as a crossover-wagon. The exterior design was developed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, and the Epsilon platform was borrowed from General Motors. In 2007, a minor facelift was carried out, after which the car was named Nuova Croma. During the update, a new radiator grille and rear bumper from the Fiat Bravo were installed.
The Croma was equipped with five power units: two gasoline (1.8 and 2.2 liters) and three diesel (1.9 liters in two variants and 2.4 liters). Transmissions — five- or six-speed manual, or six-speed automatic. Drive — only front.
