The design of this sports coupe was developed by the Bertone studio. The model was based on the Alfa Romeo 147 platform, but received different engines. In the range of petrol engines, instead of the 1.6-liter unit as in the 147, a 1.8-liter engine was offered. The engines were paired with two manual transmissions (5- and 6-speed) and one semi-automatic (6-speed Selespeed).
